The fun begins

[Royce]

Bad news never was easy to hand over. But Doctor L had always been honest with Royce and Kenji over the last few months.

"After we managed to get her to deliver, she began to hemmorage. Quite honestly, I've never seen so much scar tissue. It was as if something tore through her quite a few times in her womb. She shouldn't have been able to carry at all as bad as it was...and as fresh as it seemed. We...well...we did the best we could...and...she even fell under the category of clinically dead for about seven minutes, Kenji."

One could tell that this was hard for Doctor L to say. He actually quite liked Royce, and there had been more than a few times he wanted to break down and cry himself in there.

He continued, softening his voice a bit more. "We did the best we could for her, but she slid into a coma. Now, it could last..only a couple of days...or it could go on for weeks...or she could remain like that permanently. They're moving her now up to her room on the second floor. You can go and sit with her if you wish, or you can go to the nursery and see your new children. For now, all we can do is pray that Royce is strong enough to pull through. I'm sorry, Kenji..."

[Kenji]

He growled and looked at the doctor. Finally Kenji would break down and he would move past the doctor and started up the stairs. He didnt want to take the elevator, he couldnt stand still for that long. He needed to move, He cussed and punched walls. This was all his fault, if he had never come back into her life then she woud be healthy and happy. She wouldnt have had all this worry. He should have stayed away, he should have left her in the hands of Josh. Kenji came up to the second floor and leaned against the wall, rubbing his eyes. This was all his fault.

[Royce]

It really wasn't. Dealing with that demon ...now that's who was at fault. The many times she had to suffer through the pain of those bone spikes, although it had healed on the outside, remained scarred on the inside.

One of the attending nurses stepped out of a room several feet away from Kenji, also looking rather weary, and seeing him, shook her head sadly before motioning to the room. Below, Rock was sending a text to both Mika and Xavier about the situation, and would naturally be up soon to post guard outside the room again...though this time he was also sending out a few texts to some of his men. He couldn't be by the room and nursery at the same time, and would need the help.

Within that room, Royce lay admist a bunch of wires and IV's, looking pale, but entirely at peace, as if she were sleeping.

[Kenji]

Kenji stepped into the room and shot a look at the nurse that was anything but pleasant. He looked at her and he stood back for a long time, moving forward after a long pause he pulled a chair up beside her and took her hand in his. "Im sorry...." He murmured as he closed his eyes a tear sliding down his cheek. "Im so sorry... I didnt mean for this to happen... please just wake up..." He whispered as he stood up and he leaned over and brushed her cheek with his other hand. "Dont do this ta me .... Don't leave.."

[Royce]

But Royce didn't move. She didn't show any sign of hearing him. She just laid there seeming peacefully asleep. Where did people slip off to when in a coma? Who knew?

As Kenji stood there, that ghostly boy figure ...Tristan...would waver on the other side of the bed, ethereal hand covering over Royce's other hand, and his eyes staring to his father.

[Kenji]

Kenji looked up at the boy and he didnt say anything. He simply looked at Royce and layed his head on her shoulder. He didnt want to be awake, hell, apart of him didnt even want to stay alive. If the twins hadnt survived then maybe things would have been different. "I love you Royce and i swear Im not leaving this damn hospitial until you wake up.."

[Royce]

The ghost boy just stared at Kenji, then looked to his mother. Royce remained still as always, her body alive, but her mind unreachable. Where was she? Would she ever come back?

Those poor twins. And what of Yumi and Niko?

Royce just couldn't catch a break, could she?

[Kenji]

Kenji stood up and leaned over and kissed her forhead. He touched her cheek and wiped his tears. "I'll be back... I love you.." he murmured as he hesitantly let her go and went to go see the new twins.

[Royce]

The ghostly Tristan just remained there as Kenji had gotten up, watching him with avid interest. Royce still did not move... [and as soon as I get things straight in my head I'll be posting the scene going on in Royce's mind right now x.x]

Rock remained outside the door, and wouldn't say anything to Kenji. What was there to say? Sorry for your shitty luck? Two halls over where the nursery lay, two men were posted guard, a nurse nervous as hell wondering what was going on.

[Kenji]

Kenji went over to where his babies lay and he looked down at him. His eyes softened as he reached in and touched each of their cheeks. "Mommy cant be with you right now.. but she loves you and.. Im here... your Dads not going anywhere."

[Mika Jade Nyte]

Mika had finally gotten the messages that Rock had sent, only after having finally calmed down about Eli. She had returned to Az's place and was getting ready to settle down when her phone began to vibrate. Frowning, she picked it up, then grew still realizing that the messages were hours old. "FUCK!" She snarled, and moved to her wardrobe.

She quickly changed into some jeans and a sleeveless blouse, finishing the quick outfit with a sheer scarf about her neck, to hide the runes there. Then she was off, sending a quick message out to Azrael about where she was going.

She reached the hospital in no time flat, and it was there she began to have issues trying to get back to see Royce. She encountered everything from unhelpful nurses to orderlies trying to push her back and finally security guards. She snarled. "If you don't let me back to see my fuckin' cousin, I swear ta every fuckin' god out there that every last one o' ya will be lookin' for new jobs come morning!"

It was rough, that was for sure, but finally they let her through...especially after Rock ended up making a quick appearance.

[Kenji]

Kenji was in with the infants, looking down at them not really knowing what to do, soon enough he was headed back to stay with Royce and use the hospitial phone to call Temperance and tell her that she and Adair would need to keep Niko and Yumi for awhile.. that he was going to stay at the hospitial.

[Mika Jade Nyte]

Wonderful. Temperance had been the one to answer, and at the moment, she was the one dealing with the twins. She told Kenji to keep her updated and went to try and explain to Yumi and Niko the situation.

Meanwhile, Mika was headed down the hall...FINALLY and reached the room, stopping outside of it as she braced herself. Brow furrowed and she squashed the slight feeling of panic before stepping into the room. She was a bit shocked to find that Kenji wasn't there, not knowing he had gone to the nursery then stopped to use a phone. She moved to the side of the bed, looking down at her cousin, sadness filling her. "Damnit Royce..what do ya think yer doin', eh? Yer not backin' out on any of us...not yet."

[Kenji]

Kenji moved into the room moments later and he looked at Mika and he sighed, moving over to her and resting a hand on her shoulder. He looked over at Royce and well... kenji was walking that border again, his sanity he could feel it fraying, Royce had been the one to keep him together and now... she wasnt there to talk to him.

[Mika Jade Nyte]

She glanced up at Kenji, and then looked back down to Royce, her hand lifting to pat Kenji's as she stared down at her cousin. "Gotta stay possitive. She's always been strong, Kenj.. we jus' give her a bit o' time ta rest then pull her out...yanno?"
