Josh had been out all day, and during that day she had dropped her pretense of no longer feeling sick, and had spent a good part of the time over the toilet, or arguing on the phone with Mika.
"Sora...jus' go ta the doctor then. At least get an idea or opinion about what's wrong..
So that's what Sora decided to do. She was afraid, especially after the other night when Mika put the idea in Josh, who then made the possibility real to her. She had tried not to think about that possbility though. Surely one didn't remain so sick for days like this....
Sora sat in the doctor's office now, heel tapping impatiently, though as always that was the only sign of aggitation coming from her. As usual she was dressed in slacks and that blouse. Finally the nurse came to take her back, doing the routine blood pressure, weight, height, temperature, and ended up giving her a cup to pee in.
Sora stood in the toilet, staring at the cup. "Stop being silly.." She muttered at herself, and finally went about giving that sample, setting it on the small turnaround wheel over the toilet..sending it to the otherside where the nurse would take it and do whatever it was they did.
After cleaning up and what not, the nurse led her to one of the rooms, and left her for the doctor. She waited what seemed to be hours before the doctor finally showed up. They had a chat about the whole puking issue, about not feeling well. Sora never got sick..she never took naps, and yet that's all she had been doing for the last few days.
Finally the doctor stepped from the room for a moment to get the results...
The rest of her time there seemed to just sweep Sora away. She had left the doctor's office, and had sat on her bike without leaving for a long time. Finally she started it up, driving slowly through the streets until she reached the Park. Once there, she began to walk through it, extremely distracted. She finally pulled her phone out...and called Josh.
