Draven moved through the office building. This trip of Azrael's was turning out to be a lot longer than he had expected. Not that he hadn't been able to keep things under control while the boss was out of town. Things had been quiet and business had been going on without any set backs of note.
Moving to gaze out the office window he looked out over Azrael and Xavier's shared territory. This were quiet and while a welcome diversion, Draven had lived long enough to know that quiet was never good. Especially not one as enduring as that which had filled the last several weeks. He had that growing feeling of dread that told him something was coming. He just didn't know what. For a moment he missed the boss. Az had a knack for seeing trouble coming, and more often than not he had a solution, sometimes even before the trouble started.
That could have been part of what was bothering Draven, Were these Russians so terrible that Xavier and Az had abandoned them all to their fates. Or was this a test for those that worked for the ancient duo? He didn't know. and he had little time to ponder it. The explosion of impact filled his senses as he fell to the floor. Blurred eyes slipping behind falling lids as consciousness left him. The last thing his mind registered before unconsciousness too him was the deep tone of a heavily accented voice.
"Dah comrade, I have him. I am coming back now...."

Things WERE quiet.... It could've been actually a bit amusing considering even Mika didn't even cause any drama. Since Azrael had left, she had been behaving. Then again, her and Az never did get a chance to talk before he left either. She had tried calling him, but always seemed to get his voicemail. Perhaps he just didn't get reception..or he was that busy. She even sent texts, but still...
She sighed, sitting in her own office as her fingers clicked against the keys of her laptop, and finally she pulled back, her hands coming to rub at her face. She missed him. Deeply. She hadn't been sleeping at all since he had left, finding that the bed was too cold and lonely without him.
Occasionally she would go try and hang out with Draven, but that didn't even seem to pull her out of her slump and it usually ended up awkward.
So tonight she had decided to stay at the office and finish up some things. Very few people were around this time of night, and she hadn't known that Draven had even shown up at the building. She got up from her desk, stretching, and moved out into the hall, glancing down the bare corridors.
Pulling out her cell, she looked down and sent a text out to Azrael as she usually did, then lifted her head as she gave a slight frown.
Too quiet...she felt her senses prickling more than usual, and she turned to go back into her office. She picked up her jacket, slid it on and checked the gold plated pistols. She then went back out into the hall and began to slowly move down them, checking in on the rooms...the feeling increasing.

The crash of glass would shatter the glass of draven's office window as Victor's men made their way out onto the fire escape. Standing within the office victor would holster the Revolver he had used to render Azrael's lacky unconscious with. A slight smile moving to his lips the big man would make his way towards the door before Keen senses would pick up the faint sound of steps. A smile moving to his lips he would slip into the shadow's A hand moving to his back Pulling the Bowie knife from its spine sheath. the blackened blade reflecting no light as the big man waited in the darkness like the predator he was.

Mika continued down the hall, and froze hearing glass shatter? Her frown grew more as her hand reached behind her and pulled one of those pistols free. She checked the primings, her gaze drifting down towards Draven's office. Her steps were very slow, her senses now on code red. "Draven?" She'd call out quietly. When she heard nothing, she stopped again, her head lowering a bit and she sniffed the air.
Something was wrong. Something was...very wrong. She glanced behind her, then in front of her again...and then her steps went in reverse, slowly stepping backwards as she pulled out the twin pistol.

He remained in the shadows of the office. No point in revealing his position, not yet. An ear pressed to the wall as he listened to those steps growing more distant. Seems the woman was smarter than she looked. Holding his position for a few more moments he waited to see if her protective nature would overide her better judgement.

Mika had made it back to her own office, and soon the window was open and she was out in the night air. Space helped..a lot, and using those keen vampiric skills Az had taught her so well, she had managed to get to the top of the building, looking down the fire escape to where she saw Victor's men going down. Her lips twisted in a silent snarl as she watched Draven disappear into the van. "Fuck..."
She stood on top of the building, still staring down at the van. She didn't know if the Big Bastard was in there or not...though something told her...no. She had sensed way too much danger near Draven's office...and something told her the Hunter was still on the prowl.
All the humor of the situation with the Russians had fled her that day. She wasn't stupid, and she knew that she had been perhaps a bit too cocky towards the Russian brute.
She stretched, and prepared to follow that van...it had been awhile since she had stretched her legs. A slight smile wavered over her lips. "Dun worry Draven....this time I'm gonna help you out for a change...eh?"

Inside the office victor was taking his time. His own keen senses leading him as he made his way from draven's office in pursiout of the woman His steps as silent as the grave as he made his way towards her office the scent of fresh air and the silence within painted a picture for victor as vivid as if he had opened the door and looked within. Turning Moving to an office on the other side the building he was out it and scaling the wall silently within a matter of secornds. Keeping low he would slip into the shadows on the roof as he caught sight of mika looking down to the van.
the van pulled away from the sidewalk with a squeal of tires fishtailing slightly as its driver took off with all of the speed he could afford of the narrow street

Again her senses prickled, and she stiffened. She didn't dare look back over her shoulder. Instead, as the van took off suddenly, she bolted a few steps across the building away from where Victor was waiting, and with a leap she crossed the distance across the street to another building. Her pistols had been tucked away by then, and talons grew from her hands in order to grab onto the next building. She quickly scaled to the top and began to run over the roof...jumping to the next building, her gaze fixed on the speeding van.

The woman wanted to save her master's dog. How sweet. He watched as she took off in pursuit of the van. Luckily he knew where they were headed. Now all he needed was a little time. Taking off in the opposite direction he would easily make the leap to the next nearest building. His hand moving to thumb the radio he wore on speaking into it in that deep russian tone as his feet landed firmly on that building.
Mika would find the van's path a winding one. But suprisingly it maintained a speed she could follow as long as she was willing to exert herself.

It wasn't too difficult, considering all she had anymore was energy. It felt good to stretch her legs, and the adrenaline was pumping as she continued to jump from building to building, leaping across streets, and finally finding her way to the ground, where she was able to increase her speed without all the jumps. Once on the ground, she pulled her phone out, glancing to punch in the speeddial as she tried for Azrael...praying for once he'd answer his gods be damned phone!
But there came the voicemail, and she spoke swiftly into it. "Damnit Az...look..I'm chasin' yer good Commie bastard friends here..they've got Draven..where th' fuck are ya?!"
And she hung up. She watched the van head down the street then turn, and no sooner than they did, she swung into an alley, putting on a burst of speed til she hit the other side. The van came into view again, and she'd dial another speeddial number. Hearing Royce's groggy voice, she hissed.... "First off.. NO..I dun need ya followin'...but look, get me some men...somethin'...I dun have time ta be callin' all o'er the damn place...I'm o'er on the east end followin' a van. Licence plate..."
Mika spouted off details, including the directions she was going as Royce woke up more and began to get them down. Finally Mika hung up and slid the phone into her pocket.

The van continued on its path before doing a complete 180 and heading back towards the Bronx. It would continue on to a seedy little street filled with warehouses before slowing in front of a gate just long enough for two guards to open it up and allow the van inside.

Delilah had long since attached herself to The Pretty Lady (Mika) even if the woman had tried to shoo her off. Ted was now strapped to her back and she whispered over her shoulder as she watched as first Draven was taken and then Mika taking the overhead road to follow the van. " Dis doan look good Ted. Better be more ready than you were the last time. " Lilah had not seen the movement of the big russian but sensitive nostrils caught just a small whiff of something she couldn't place as it was gone as quickly as it had come. Nodding to herself she sped off after the Pretty Lady.

As they moved into the warehouse..she slowed her steps, feeling her muscles ache at the hell of a run the van had given her. She stretched, and moved to lean in the shadows, watching for a moment for movement or others about. Once she was sure she wouldn't be spotted, she slid easily and silently through the shadows towards the warehouse, looking for a way to get a peek in to see what she was dealing with.

Lilah was feeling the strain of keeping up with Mika and breathed a sigh of relief when the Pretty Lady finally slowed and then stopped. Muscles that had not been used in ages protested the prolonged run and she sighed softly at the slightly pleasurable burn and ache. She watched as Mika slipped into the warehouse and silently crept forward, making sure she kept to the shadows. " Looks like we get to play afterall Ted! " Hide and seek was always a good game, yup! Keeping quiet she followed Mika into the warehouse.

Sitting atop a building across the street from the warehouse Victor had used the van's diversion to slip into place. Gazing through the scope attached to the rifle he held he spotted the well concealed movements that he knew instinctively were Mika's. Breath taken and held he would steady his aim. Pulling the trigger and sending a Dart flying towards it's target. The traq gun had been modified for range. The Hiss of air that fired the dart no louder than a silenced shot. The dart it's self loaded with the same coctail he had used on Mika at the statue. All factors accounted for save one he continued to gaze through that scope waiting to see if the dart hit its target.
