The poor guy wouldnt get a chance as the large horse lifted him easily off his feet and tossed him to the side. Kenji trotted up to him as he hit the ground and without giving him too much time to move, Kenji trambled his legs, about 2000lbs of weight coming down on the old drunks legs. Run if you can..

The man howled in pain, and in the distance, the sounds of sirens were being heard. Niko was kneeling behind Kayla's head, bent over her as he kept trying to get her to wake up, his form trembling quite a bit. Oh why did everything have to turn out so rotten? "Comon Kayla...wake up..my dad..he's taking care of it. You can go back home to your mom...comon..."
Poor Niko.

Kenji's ears perked so he made it quick as he just simply crushed the mans skull with a single swift kick with his back hooves. His eyes turned back to those blues and greens.
Using magic he disguised his horn and the color of his hooves as he trotted over to the kids and kneeled, Leave her niko, climb on.

"But..dad..we can't just..leave her..." The poor boy was almost in tears as he looked up to his father, then back down to Kayla's lifeless form. He wanted to stay..very badly, but his own ears picked up on the sounds of sirens, and knew things were going to get really bad. He brushed Kayla's hair back, and finally got up. He moved to grab his pack, then moved back to his father. Well, talk about a step up from getting a piggy back ride. He climbed up on Kenji's back, his fists curling into that mane.

~Her souls already passed.~ He told Niko as he took off a gallop across the field. There was no way that the cops would even suspect that a human did any of this. It would look like what it was, a man trampled by a draft horse and a girl dead from hitting her head.
Kenji was fast and people on the streets had to literally jump out of the way at times since he didnt slow down until he reached some alleys far from the park and slowed to a walk.

Niko didn't respond, instead kept himself low over his father's back as he galloped through the streets. Regardless of what it looked like..the authorities would smell metahuman all over it. Thankfully, unicorns were extremely rare, and his dad wasn't looking like nothing more than a horse. He kept his face hidden the whole time, and when Kenji finally slowed down, Niko relaxed enough to sit up, feeling drained, and feeling extremely..extremely..sad.

Niko sighed softly, shaking his head as he murmured quietly. "She didn't have to ..die. I mean...we could've taken her in, right dad? She...she was always so sad.."
He choked up a bit, feeling tears stinging his eyes.

~We could've but everyone has a different destiny.~ He said to his son, ~Hers wasnt a good one, if I had known I would have tried to prevent it Niko. But honestly.. the girl was not.. happy not with herself not with anything. There is only so much healing a new family can do.~

He sniffed, feeling tears sliding down his cheeks, his head lowered. "I should've went days ago when she asked me to..maybe..maybe she wouldn't... I could've helped her! I could have!"
There were so many strange confusing emotions running through Niko..including grief and guilt.

~No ya couldnt have.~ Kenji said with a snort. ~I would have just grug ya home again. ~Niko her death isnt your fault, she took a chance and she paid for it. Im not sayin' she deserved it but it was a risk she knew she had to take.~

We have been like this since day one, except in the past she use ta fight back. I swear birthing you and Yumi made her a bit soft.~
