Pandemic (Zombies pt. 2)

Brow rose slowly. "Is my Prince Wolf showing his teeth?" She gave a slight grin, and got up, moving to the phone and picking it up. "They were working fine earlier."

She gave a shrug and sighed. "You call the cable and I'll call the phone company on the cells?"

She moved to her phone, picking it up then moving to the small table where she set all the numbers down, shifting through to find the phone company.

Perhaps that beast is seeking the surface, but Jeopardy is coming on and I wanted to see Ken Jennings when another million.

::he would grin in jest as he looked outside and frowned slightly waiting::

[Xavier]

::It had been a splendid 2 weeks, and unfortunatly life called and now it was time to return to it. His eyes would look over the city while Sarah moved about the loft behind him. A phone would go off and soon it would be answered::

Grey... Yeah....No....Az know? Yeah... no... Find my son, then get me the Galdiator...No...

::The phone was hung up and he looked over to Sarah with a frown before he stood and moved to changes his clothes, slipping on his kevlar jacket and reaching to grab the katana's he would kiss her cheek softly then head out the door::

Dont wait up...

It was part of Alex's job to know when Xavier came and went. She had already caught wind of zombies prowling the streets of Albany and knew it was only a matter of time before he decided to join the party. Shaking her head, she grabbed her gear and took the stairs down to the garage. He would already have a head start on her, but with luck, she would track him down in no time. Crawling into the cab of battered pick up she set her duffle on the seat next to her. Flipping up a small monitor from the dash she dug out one of those throw away phones and dialed a number. If all worked the way it was supposed to, a second phone carefully attatched to the underside of Xaivers jeep would pickup, sending signals to the small computer in her truck. " This better fucking work. "

[Royce]

Amazing what two weeks out in isolated Montana with open nature around could do to one's constitution and relationship.

Amazing what three days of car rides could do to one's sanity.

Royce had finally learned how to drive, and though it was still very new to her, she was doing exceptionally well. Of course, it didn't help matters that going back to the city brought out tempers that had been buried for two weeks. It didn't matter that the decision was already made, at HER suggestion non the less, that they move to the country, but still stay close enough to the city so she could work.

By the time they finally got home, Royce was snapping on everyone to the point that even Kenji kept quiet. Hana had a cold, Renji was unusually quiet, and Yumi and Niko also didn't say a word, just sulked in the back seat while Kenji avoided looking at Royce with a petulant scowl on his own face.

Royce pulled up to the driveway, and Rock drove past. He had been tailing her to make sure she stayed safe on the road. When she cut off the engine, her and Kenji both got out, and each grabbed an infant twin and a bag as Yumi and Niko followed behind.

Once inside, Royce put the bag down, and snatched Renji from Kenji and headed to their room, both infants now whimpering quietly.

She was NOT in the best of moods. To make matters worse..she tried to flip the lights on...and nothing. She growled low, then sighed as Hana began to cry softly. She rocked them, murmuring and then laid them down, going to check the bulb. She tried another switch, then left the room and started to flip at other switches. "Shit.." She hissed softly, then called out. "Kenji..th' electric's out. Call th' damn power company." Then turned and went back into the infants' room to settle them down.

She flipped her cell on as she went, and saw the mass of texts and messages left, and sighed, just ignoring it for a moment as she slid her cell away. Whatever it was..could wait. She wasn't in the mood.

[Kenji]

Kenji snarled at her when she took the baby away from him, "Ya better calm down bitch." He growled low and looked down at Niko as he past, "Your Ma's finally lost it." He murmured as he went in and heard the twins whimper.

"Why do ya feel the need to hold them if your just going to Make them cry?" He spat as he picked up the phone, deciding it would me more entertaining to make the woman at the electric company cry because he didnt have any power to give his kids some damn dinner.

So he did... by the time he was done bitching he had the initial woman in tears and then the Manager wrapped around his pinky. He even got free power for a month out of the man and when he hung up the phone a sly smirk of satisfaction on his lips.

"Your power will be on shortly Royce so cheer up and read a book."

[Royce]

Niko looked at his dad and smirked back, quite an exact likeness of his father's own smirk. He shrugged and muttered back. "Maybe she's PMSin'?" Better than her being pregnant again right?

Royce was humming softly to the infants who were finally drifting off to sleep. She had heard Kenji snarling to the power company, her lips curling in a slight smirk of her own. Then she heard him call out, and she rolled her eyes, biting back a growl.

Once the infants were sleeping and in their cribs, she snuck quietly out of the room, shutting the door. She checked in on Yumi and Niko who were both crawling into bed in the dark...until the lights came flashing on and the hum of the air started. She gave a wan smile to the kids. "One hour of tv then bed. Got it?" They nodded, and she shut the door.

Heading into the main room, she looked to Kenji, murder written in those green rimmed pupils, and walked past him as she snarled. "An' I'd fuckin' appreciate it ya bastard fuckin' mutt if ya'd NOT call me bitch in front of th' kids.."

SHe moved to the couch and flopped down, scowling and refusing to look up at him. She yanked her phone out and started checking the text messages. After a quiet moment she managed to get control of her temper, and said in a very calm voice. "Hana's coughin' is goin' away.. I dun think she took to th' climate change verra well."

She flipped to a message sent out by one of the men that usually worked under her, and brow shot up as she sat up straighter. One brief message was on it. Zombies. Don't come home![/i]

She read it aloud, then shook her head. "Wonder what drugs he got inta.."

[Kenji]

"Since when do you take me calling you a Bitch as a bad thing?" He snarled right back at her as he walked over to the couch and sat next to her.

"It's called Affection- ya Bitch." Yea now he was just doing it to rile her up. He lived for causing trouble afterall. His brows raised as she sat up and looked at her phone.

"What someone message you on a drunken night or somethin?" He pulled out his phone and started to flip through his own messages.

"Fan message... Fan... Fan.... Fan... how did these whores get my number?! Fan... Fan... Zombies.... Fan... Zombies... What the hell someone trying to scare me or somethin... oh wait its from Adair and temp.." He turned and showed her the 'Zombies are coming stay home' message. "I think my father has turned Temp into a drug adicted whore or.. something."

[Royce]

She had opened her mouth to retort to Kenji. Yes, she was being pissy and just scraping for an argument, but her words died off before they could be spoken, half listening to Kenji and the zombie messages. Her eyes fell on Adair's message to her pretty much saying the same thing. She looked up to Kenji, brows drawing together. "Somethin's not right. What is this? A joke? Did someone o'er hear me or somethin last week?"

She leaned forward to snag up the remote, flipping the television on as she started to browse through the channels. She didn't have to go far, as the news seemed to be permiating every television station, showing off Albany from a distance and news reporters everywhere talking in quick, panicked voices about the 'scary movie gone real.' "Well that's just...fuckin' lovely.."

She looked down to her phone, typing in a number and then bringing it to her ear...and waited for Xavier to answer. Soon as he did, she'd blurt out.. "What th' hell's goin' on, Teach?"

[Kenji]

Kenji paused and looked at the TV station.. "Well I always wanted a zombie invasion as a house warming gift." He said sarcastically as he got up to start locking the doors and windows.

"Fuckin' zombies Ima kill them all.." He grumbled as he went from window to window.

[Royce]

She glanced up to Kenji as she waited for Xavier to respond, shaking her head as she scowled. "Yea..ya go an' do that, and don't think I'ma let ya back in either til ya get yer anti-zombie shots completed."

[Kenji]

"Yea well.. they come near this house were not going to have much of a choice. Killed or... be... turned into Zombies and quite frankly I dont want to look like hitomi for the rest of my undead life."

[Royce]

She smirked a bit. "Then maybe they're jus' lookin' for their relatives. Maybe we should send a letter ta them and tell them how ta find Serenia then we dun have ta deal with them.."

She shook her head, getting up and going to glance out the windows. The zombies were still up in Albany, thank god..but still...she was growing a bit anxious now. Afterall..she had her kids to worry about. What if she had to kill...then what? Granted..they were all pretty much dead anyway..but still..how would that affect the crap she goes through? She wouldn't survive. Little did she know she didn't have to worry about it anymore.

[Kenji]

"Hmm not a bad Idea... open a travel portal to Serenia and let them terrorize them." He nodded slowly and looked to Royce as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her with a light yawn.

"I bet Kaida is the leader and she is in a jealous rage cause she was dumped by the hottest Zombie on the block."

[Royce]

She let herself momentarily relax against Kenji, her previous spat and snarling forgotten ...just for the moment. Lips curled into a smirk. "Kaida died..remember?"
